Today you are six.
Gone are the yesterdays of wakeful nights, warm bottles, and sleepy eyes. Tiny socks, that sweet newborn smell, taking those first, uncertain steps. Little fingers grasping mine. But I won't think about that today.
Today you are six.
Today you are wild, jumping, playing. Rough and tumble, tearing holes in the knees of brand new pants, losing teeth, reading books, learning. Independent, capable, articulate...babyhood is gone. You are a boy.
Today you are six.
Tomorrow you will be a man. You will drive a car, get your first job, take a wife, step out on your own, make your mark in the world for Christ. Little ones will call you Daddy. I will be so proud of you.
But I won't think about that today.
Today you are six.
Happy Birthday, Christopher! Your mommy loves you so much! :o)

Happiest Birthday to Christopher and to his Momma.
They do grow up no matter how much you beg them not too! hee hee.
My youngest is 4 now. He has left his babyhood behind, too.
I thank God for the privilege to raise these children to follow Christ as I know you do too.

Oh, that brought tears to my eyes! I am already sad about mine growing up. :) But oh, what great things the little ones can do for the Lord when they are grown.
It is so precious to witness a momma who cherishes her son, and his childhood. So many women wish it away, or take it for granted.
Happy Birthday, Christopher!!
It's amazing how quickly they grow up.

Hi Mrs. Wilt,
I've enjoyed reading your blog for quite some time. I am a mother to 2 little boys (one is almost 2 1/2, and the baby is 6 months old). I wanted to ask you, since you are a homeschooling mom, if you have any resources you use to teach toddlers about Jesus. We pray with our sons every day, and I talk to my toddler about Jesus, but I just am not sure how to best put it in language he can truly grasp. It has been weighing very heavily on my heart for quite awhile, and I thought you might have some good ideas. I know you are terribly busy with 3 little ones, but if you have just a minute, and wouldn't mind, I would appreciate it so much if you could drop me an email with any ideas or resources you might have. Thank you so much! My email is atupchurch@triad.rr.com.
